Emadine:
0.05% Emedastine per solution
Overview:
Emadine is used to reduce the symptom of allergic conjunctivitis, which is expressed in
patient's hyperemia eyes with watery discharge. Emadine works by reducing the effects of a substance called histamine. Emadine is a prescribed drug.
Medical Uses:
Treat allergic eye conjunctivitis.
Side effects:
The most common one is:
Headache
Other side effects include:
abnormal dreams
blurred vision or other change in vision
eye redness, irritation, or pain
tearing, discomfort, or other eye irritation not present before therapy or becoming worse during therapy
weakness
bad taste
burning or stinging of the eye
dry eye
feeling of something in the eye
itching
skin rash
stuffy or runny nose

Dosing:
The dosing of this medicine differs for patients. Please follow your doctor's instructions or the directions on the label.
Usually, the dosing for eye allergy:
Adults and children three years of age and older—Use one drop in the affected eye one to four times a day.
Notes:
*Please do not wear contact lenses if your eyes are red. After using this medicine, you
shouldn't immediately put your contact lens back in.
