Yasmin Drospirenone 3.000 mg Ethinylestradiol 0.030 mg (per tablet)
Overview:
Yasmin is a kind of drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol combination that is mainly used to
prevent pregnancy. Each month, it prevents a woman's egg from fully developing.
Fertilization (pregnancy) is no longer possible because the egg can no longer accept sperm.
The medicine is only available with a doctor's prescription and comes in the form of a tablet.
Medical Uses:
Prevent pregnancy
Treat premenstrual dysphoric disorder( a more severe form of premenstrual syndrome, which affects a woman's physical and emotional status 10 to 14 days before her period starts.)
Treat acne
Help regulate periods
Side effects:
Some common side effects include:
breast pain or tenderness
headache, severe and throbbing
heavy non-menstrual vaginal bleeding
irregular menstrual periods
nausea
normal menstrual bleeding occurring earlier, possibly lasting longer than expected
Other side effects that are less common may include:
longer or heavier menstrual periods
unusual tiredness or weakness
vomiting

Dosing:
One yellow tablet is taken at the same time each day for 21 consecutive days.
